Emily received her BFA in Metals and Jewelry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2010.

After graduating, she maneuvered into the theater world, working as a props designer, aesthetic designer, and puppet maker in Chicago.  Emily has worked with Redmoon, First Floor Theater, The House Theatre of Chicago, Bullooney Puppetworks, Chicago Children’s Theatre, and Odradek Theater.  She is a member of Autotelic Studios and calls it home.

Whether creating an abstracted necklace or custom mask, the relationship between human, object, and identity is a constant theme in her work.  She uses a broad spectrum of materials and enjoys hiding narrative in the details.

Loving the experience of shared collaboration, she welcomes commissioned projects and values their creation and purpose.
